What I would suggest is that cover your face while tanning until the red goes away. Then cover your face half the time and then uncover the other half. This will allow your face to heal and then build a tan slowly. I had this happen to me and I did this and my face is now tan not red.
Stop going and let your face get un red. They say that when you burn and you don’t let it heal and keep going it stops you from tanning. Also are you using a bronzing lotion on your face? That might help.

Don’t go to a tanning bed at all. Get a mystic tan or spray tan. Better for your skin and more even.
