Well, the point of a tanning bed is to tan those parts, right? So don’t use sunscreen. Some moisturizer is a good idea. The main thing is to limit your exposure. No more than 15 minutes at a time, and wait at least a few days before you go back to make sure you’re not burning. Remember to turn over!
You need lotion with bronzers, because if you tan dry skin the first 6 minutes of tanning the rays literally bounce off of the skin and do not tan, so you need to be moisturized..lotions in tanning salons vary from 25-100, of course the more expensive it is the faster you’re going to tan because it has more bronzers. (you can google places..just type in wholesale tanning lotions, and theyre ALOT cheaper if you order them offline or ebay..my fav brand is designer skin) Since you are so light skinned you do NOT want to go more than 6 minutes. And if you get a little red with the 6 minutes but not too red then go 5 or 6 minutes next time and then when you start not getting red with that time, then go to 8 minutes, then 10 etc (you usually move up the time 2 mins at a time) Most beds have a 20 min. limit, and you have to wait 24 hrs to tan again, some states is 48 hrs. You also need goggles!! you HAVE to wear goggles thats very important..just putting a towel over your face is useless because the rays go right through it. And for the parts that have never seen sun before, i suggest that you tan for half the time with them exposed and then the other half cover them with a towel so they don’t burn. I never tan my face, because i dont want premature aging, so i usually just put on makeup and tan it half the time and put a towel over the other half, or they have special lotions that you can put on your face with SPF in it. Hope this helps
